Vermont is Shown as Leader in 2009 March of Dimes Report on New Born Screening
As a result of the advocacy of the March of Dimes, the Vermont Department of Health Newborn Screening Program and its Advisory Committee, and parents, in 2008, Vermont added cystic fibrosis to the New Born Screening Panel.

March of Dimes awards Vermont the best Grade in the Nation

In 2008, Vermont earned the best score on the March of Dimes Preterm Birth Report Card for having the lowest rate of babies born premature. The March of Dimes has the lead the way with our Research Grants, Educational Programs and Advocacy Initiatives.
