HONOLULU, HAWAII, MAY 5, 2008 –
Deepak Srivastava, MD, director, Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease Professor, Departments of Pediatrics and Biochemistry and Biophysics University of California, San Francisco (right), explained the importance of the research of the 2008 March of Dimes Prize in Developmental Biology co-recipients, is joined by Melvin Grumbach, M.D., University of California at San Francisco, (l. to r.), Jennifer L. Howse, PhD March of Dimes president, and Michael Katz, MD, March of Dimes senior vice president for Research and Global Programs.

The 2008 March of Dimes Prize in Developmental Biology co-recipients Cliff Tabin, PhD,  chair of the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School in Massachusetts, and Philip Beachy, PhD professor at the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, Calif (center) are congratulated by Michael Katz, MD, March of Dimes senior vice president for Research and Global Programs, (l. to r.), Jennifer L. Howse, PhD, March of Dimes president, Renee R. Jenkins, MD, FAAP president of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Duane F. Alexander, director, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health.
