March of Dimes Supports National Children's Study

WHITE PLAINS, MAY 2, 2005 -- Dr. Nancy Green, Medical Director of the March of Dimes, today  participated in a multi-city radio media tour on the National Children's Study. The study is the largest long-term study of children's health and development ever conducted in the United States. The study is led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) an d  by the U.S. Environmnetal Protection Agency (EPA).

Dr. Peter Scheidt, Director of the National Children's Study, joined Dr. Green and helped explain what researchers hope to find and what the findings may mean for future generations.
