The Board of Trustees, staff, and volunteers of the March of Dimes are saddened by the death of Prof. Anne McLaren on July 7, 2007.

In a remarkable career that spanned more than half a century, Prof. Anne McLaren repeatedly pushed forward the boundaries of our knowledge of developmental biology and reproduction.  In recognition of her many pioneering contributions to this field, Prof. McLaren was the co-recipient of the 2007 March of Dimes Prize in Developmental Biology, which was awarded on May 7.  Please click here to see photos from the award ceremony as well as her full biographical sketch.
