  March of Dimes Subject Of Three Online Chats In September

WHITE PLAINS, NY, August 27, 2003—The March of Dimes Prematurity and Newborn Screening Campaigns will be discussed in-depth during three separate, live, online chats during September.

March of Dimes Assistant Medical Director Dr. Siobhan M. Dolan will discuss the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign and Prematurity Awareness Day (November 18) during chats to be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. (eastern time), September 2 on Pregnancy.org and from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (eastern time), September 9 on BabyCenter.com.

In addition, March of Dimes volunteer and Newborn Screening Advocate Kelly Leight will talk about Newborn Screening from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (eastern time), September 16 on BabyCenter.com. The March of Dimes advises all states to offer a core minimum group of 10 metabolic disorder screening tests to all newborns.

To join in the BabyCenter.com chats, just go to the BabyCenter.com homepage where you will click on ‘chat’ and then click on ‘how to chat.’ To join in the Pregnancy.org chat, just go to the Pregnancy.org homepage and click on ‘chat live now’ in the navigation bar at the left side of the page. You will be taken to an area that says “members log in here.’’ If you are already a member of the Pregnancy.org, simply log in. If you are not a member, registration is free and takes a few minutes.
