Dr. Jennifer Howse Appears on PBS NewsHour with Jim Lehrer On Monday, August 19, 2002, March of Dimes President Dr. Jennifer Howse appeared on the PBS NewsHour with Jim Lehrer in an in-depth segment that focused on spina bifida and the Foundation's 2002 folic acid survey. The piece stressed the importance of folic acid to women of childbearing age and how this simple B vitamin may help to prevent this serious birth defect. Also featured in the telecast were several March of Dimes volunteers and advocates.
