March of Dimes Kicks Off WalkAmerica - Opens NASDAQ Stock Market

New York, NY, March 24, 2003 - David Weild (far left), Vice Chairman, NASDAQ, welcomed March of Dimes EVP, COO Jane Massey as the charity opened NASDAQ, the world's largest electronic stock market on March 24, 2003, to kick off WalkAmerica, its biggest fund raiser.  With Massey (left to right) are March of Dimes volunteers Jon & Kelley Hensley, stars of "As the World Turns" and Emma Henderson, March of Dimes 2003 National Ambassador.

Ringing the opening bell for the NASDAQ stock market on Monday, March 24, 2003 are WalkAmerica volunteers, corporate sponsors and March of Dimes staff.  The national charity used the occasion to kick off WalkAmerica, which is held in 1,100 communities all across the country on April 26 & 27.
