TITLE: National Volunteer Community Relations Director
REPORTS TO: Sr. Vice President, Volunteer Leadership Development
LOCATION: White Plains, NY
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
Increase revenue through managing, developing and expanding existing volunteer partnership (Walk/sponsors) teams and corporations and identifying potential teams including diversity teams and new targets for national volunteer partnership teams. Establish account management teams with designated corporations to help support these efforts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Target designated national clubs, organizations and associations that have the potential to form meaningful partnerships, recruit high impact volunteers and raise a minimum of a $100 thousand in new dollars per year and develop a key account management team to support this growth.
Develop and implement a volunteer development plan and revenue growth plan with designated priority national clubs, organizations and associations based. The growth plan includes target markets for significant growth and strategies for developing an account team to best service them.
Assist with other established major account management teams to implement volunteer development and revenue strategies within designated region and chapters. Work with department counterparts to increase diversity and youth participation.
Assess additional assigned clubs, organizations and associations for potential and determine strategies for development (or not) and establishing an account management team.
Participate in Regional, Area and chapter staff meetings as necessary. Work with Area Directors, Regional Volunteer Leadership Development Director and Chapters to provide updates on existing clubs, organizations and associations and accounts and identify new targets for national affiliations.
Work with Area Directors, Regional Volunteer Leadership Development Directors and Chapters to ensure all national teams are participating to their fullest potential.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree
5-7 years experience in nonprofit work with emphasis on volunteerism
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of team recruitment
Flexibility, leadership and ability to handle multiple projects
