  TITLE: Director, Office of the President

REPORTS TO: Vice President for Mission Support & Chief-of-Staff

LOCATION: White Plains, NY

REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement

POSITION PURPOSE:
In support of the Office of the President, manage the President’s Advance Function for selected events and assist the Chief-of-Staff with the President’s Advance Function for major national conferences and meetings of the national Board of Trustees. Guide project leaders in the measurement and reporting of selected Operations Plans, particularly those associated with the annual Foundation Priorities; and manage components of the quarterly reports on Foundation Priorities. Execute specific projects that develop and communicate the Foundation’s Strategic Plan. In support of the Foundation’s mission, assist in compiling, analyzing, and communicating elements of a unified mission budget request. Execute or assist in the execution of special projects. Execute other duties as assigned.

 



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage selected external events for President or COO, which may include the following activities: communicate with external partners, set itineraries, review speaking points, assemble background information on events and attendees, travel ahead of President or COO to coordinate onsite logistics when necessary. Engage and inform internal partners (such as senior managers and chapter or regional staff) as necessary regarding the content of selected events. Develop systems, protocols, templates, and standardized materials to improve execution of – and to add value to – the Advance Function. Seek opportunities to leverage the time and influence of the President and COO during external events.
  • Manage and implement special projects including the weekly President’s blog and an exemplary electronic presence for the President’s office on the company intranet.
  • Provide support for the measurement and reporting of the annual Operations Plans and manage projects that support measuring results and progress within the Strategic Plan.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • 8-10 years experience of work experience.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant field (e.g., marketing/media, business, health, administration).
  • Superior project management skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, particularly writing skills.
  • Expert-level aptitude for business software applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Access a plus)
  • Uncommonly good organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking skills at all times. Calmness under pressure.
