POSITION PURPOSE:
Advance Foundation fundraising and mission initiatives through the management and support of communications and marketing strategies and tactics implemented by chapters. Manage key deliverables including comprehensive media monitoring database to demonstrate the value of March of Dimes media exposure to internal and external stakeholders.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and work with comprehensive web-based media monitoring and data entry system. Train and work with national, regional and chapter staff in optimizing the use of the database and the customized data entry system. Manage relationships and contracts, and oversee the day-to-day execution of multiple vendors that supply the services.
Guide national, regional and chapter staff in using the database to analyze the effectiveness of their public relations and marketing campaigns by providing support and technical assistance. Recommend and help develop assessments by campaign, market and media type to evaluate media coverage to determine degree to which business goals have been reached. May also include producing reports, analyzing data and summarizing findings.
Contribute to the development of marketing tools and tactics and coordinate their implementation for chapters. Facilitate the chapter implementation of marketing campaigns.
Managed related projects in support of national corporate partnerships and fundraising events and promotions. Act as liaison to national and regional Revenue Development and Corporate Partners staff.
Manage the duplication, distribution and tracking for TV, radio, print, out-of-home and online outlets for our nationally produced, locally distributed, PSA campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2-4 years of related experience
Experience with News clipping/media monitoring and tracking using Vocus or similar system.
Proficient MS Office skills, especially Excel, Access and other database skills
Proven project management skills; able to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects in a timely manner. Ability to prioritize and follow-through.
Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
Strong customer service skills are critical. Marketing Analysis acumen needed.
Previous training experience preferred.
