POSITION PURPOSE:
Direct the chapter's implementation of the program plan, which includes public and professional health education programs, grants and community services in South Carolina. Participate as an active member of the chapter management team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and insure effective program planning, implementation and evaluation.
In collaboration with the Program Services Committee, review and update the Program Plan as needed and review progress annually.
Orient and train Program Services Committee and all sub-committees.
Insure that staff and volunteers follow all procedures and guidelines related to program activities disseminated by the national and regional offices.
Manage coalition involvement and community outreach.
Maintain an active Public Affairs committee and support legislation as indicated by the Office of Government Affairs.
Manage and maintain NICU program for the South Carolina Chapter.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Masters degree in Public Health or equivalent education and experience.
Experience forming collaborative partnerships with healthcare agencies, government and community groups.
Track record creating and evaluating programs which achieve measurable outcomes. Experience working with diverse communities and developing volunteers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, planning, implementation, organization and computer skills.
