TITLE: Assistant Community Director
REPORTS TO: Division Director
LOCATION: Lafayette, IN
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
Organize and manage all fundraising activities in the area for March for Babies campaign (and other campaigns as identified) and Signature Chef’s including volunteer leadership, fundraising, new team recruitment, upgrading existing sponsors and developing new sponsorship partnerships.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, develop and support influential volunteer leaders for March for Babies and Signature Chef’s that are revenue driven with the ability to exceed goal
- Educate team captains, walkers and volunteers on the March of Dimes mission for the purpose of gaining and retaining their commitment and meeting their financial goals of their companies and/or teams.
- Solicit sponsorships, new company teams, family teams to participate in the March of Dimes largest fundraiser, March for Babies as well as for Signature Chef’s. Reach financial goal by working the areas of volunteer development, sponsorship, new teams and event satisfaction.
- Monitor & recruitment of walkers and corporate teams.
- Secure sponsorship base for fundraising events.
- Utilize outlined management tools to track progress.
- Maintain division records. Must be willing to travel market area as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
- Minimum of one year experience in fundraising or sales with successful track record of income growth
- Excellent management, organizational, interpersonal, communications and computer skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and deal with multiple priorities
- Must pass criminal and credit check
