Outcome:  Legislation signed by President George W. Bush into law (P.L. 110-204) on April 24, 2008.

March of Dimes Utah Volunteer

Testified on January 24, 2007 in support of state funding for the Utah Birth Defects Network before the Utah Legislature’s Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee.  Testimony

Outcome:  $360,000 ongoing funding and $173,000 one-time funding secured for the Utah Birth Defects Network which collects data for detecting birth defects trends indicating areas for further research.
