The March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction is the most festive gourmet food and wine event of its kind! The event pays homage to our city’s finest chefs while raising funds and awareness for the March of Dimes. It is an evening of gourmet food and wine followed by an auction of impressive items. Twelve to 15 of the city’s finest chefs will be honored and their signature dishes highlighted as part of this event.
Signature Chefs Auction is organized by a volunteer committee and supported by March of Dimes staff. About 300 people are expected to attend each venue’s event, including local corporate and civic leaders. This year’s goal is $50,000 in Birmingham and $40,000 in Mobile and the majority of funds will be raised through corporate sponsorships and bids on live and silent auction items. Money raised by Signature Chefs Auction will fund medical research, programs of community service, education and advocacy to help the March of Dimes achieve its mission of preventing premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
