Wes Simpson's '3000 Miles for Baby' Bike Ride in Southern Arizona
Starting in Tucson and traveling throughout Pima County

Wes and Penny Simpson lost their first child, Stoic Riley Simpson in September, because he was born at 24 weeks -- 16 weeks premature.  He passed away in his parents arms due to his early arrival and complications from a congenital lung problem.

To honor their son, Wes is riding his bicycle 3,000 miles in 30 days to raise funds for the March of Dimes' fight to prevent premature birth and to increase awareness of the leading cause of newborn death.

Click here to donate to Wes Simpson's "3000 Miles for Baby" bike ride.  Donations can be made through the end of "Prematurity Awareness Month" in November.

Wes will accomplish his 3,000 mile ride within Pima County, so he can be home each night with Penny.  You can cheer him on each morning in October at 7 a.m., when he departs from the Fountain at St. Phillips Church, located at River and Campbell.

You can find out more about Wes and Penny's story on their website at http://www.3000milesforbaby.com/
