March of Dimes Arizona Chapter is proud to announce its 2012 Nurse of the Year Awards finalists. Hundreds of nurses throughout Arizona were nominated by their patients, peers and administrators in one or more of fourteen different categories. The March of Dimes Nurse of the Year winners were revealed at the Gala on August 25, 2012, at Sheraton Phoenix Downtown. Click here to view pictures from the event.
The annual March of Dimes event pulled in over $125,000, which will go to support future funding for nursing scholarships in Arizona as well as benefit the March of Dimes Arizona Chapter in its pursuit to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

In its ninth year, the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards Gala was established to bring awareness to the critical nursing shortage throughout Arizona as well as support future nurses through scholarship dollars. Since the event’s inception, March of Dimes has presented over 132-thousand in scholarship dollars to Arizona based nursing colleges.
