| In Arkansas, the Chapter partners with organizations who provide services and education aimed at improving the health of women of child bearing age, pregnant women and infants. The March of Dimes enhances those efforts with materials and financial support.
UAMS (University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences) and Jefferson Hospital Association are providing prenatal health related information for Hispanic and African American women respectively through targeted health events.
Pulaski Technical College Foundation and Carroll Health Foundation were provided $10,000 and $5,462 respectively to provide prenatal care and childbirth education to high risk pregnant women. Baptist Health Foundation is planning a March of Dimes Preterm Birth Prevention Seminar for the purpose of increasing education and training for health professionals.
