Chain Reaction/Collegiate Council
|
Chain Reaction The Chain Reaction program provides teens with meaningful learning experiences while building the future volunteer force of the March of Dimes. Students are selected to serve on leadership councils where they organize community health conferences, school health fairs, and raise funds to support the mission of the March of Dimes.
Through the program, young people learn that they can play a vital role in giving every baby a healthy start in life. Chain Reaction involves student leaders from high schools in over 70 communities nationwide. Young people from different schools within each community are nominated for the Chain Reaction Leadership Council by faculty members and administrators. If you are interested in participating in Chain Reaction or in a program in your school, contact us at 1.888.4.babies or send an e-mail to our office.
Collegiate Council The March of Dimes partners with college students dedicated to spreading awareness about the March of Dimes mission on their campuses as well as surrounding communities. They conduct presentations in classrooms and at club meetings as well as raise funds for lifesaving research and innovative programs. We have several Collegiate Councils throughout the chapter, including UC Berkeley, Stanford, and UC Davis. If you are interested in participating in Collegiate Council or in starting a program at your campus, contact us at 1.888.4.babies or send an e-mail to our office.
