• California State Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Branch

The MCH Branch provides a variety of services to protect and improve the health of California's women of reproductive age, infants, children, adolescents, and their families. Programs include, Breastfeeding Program, The California Diabetes and Pregnancy Program (CDAPP), Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Program, and the Regional Perinatal Program of California (RPPS).
• Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal is a health insurance program for low income families or individuals, the elderly, the disabled or families enrolled in AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children).
• Healthy Families

The Healthy Families Program provides health coverage for children with family incomes above the level eligible for Medi-Cal ($36,576 for a family of three to be eligible).
• Access For Infants and Mothers Program

This program provides low-cost health insurance for pregnant women, and their newborns, which are not eligible for Medi-Cal. Services are provided through private health plans. Coverage includes prenatal visits, hospital delivery, and full health care services during the pregnancy, for 60 days after the pregnancy, and full health care services for the infant for up to two years. Outreach and application assistance is operated by the California Health Collaborative.
• California Smokers Helpline

The California Smokers' Help line is a telephone program that can help you quit smoking. Help line services are free. Services include, self-help materials, a referral list of other programs, and one-on-one counseling over the phone.
• Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women

Presumptive Eligibility is a program that enables women who think they might be pregnant to receive prenatal care through Medicaid for up to 90 days while their eligibility for full Medicaid benefits is determined. Covered benefits for recipients are provided by primary care centers, rural health clinics, and local health departments. Health care providers offer full service prenatal care, including transportation.
• BabyCal

BabyCal provides education for women and their families about prenatal care, promotes public awareness, and conducts education aimed at combating low birth weight and decreasing infant mortality.
• Black Infant Health

The Black Infant Health (BIH) Program aids in reducing the infant mortality rate among African American infants by providing innovative public health services, and early consistent prenatal care. Services include, help to access health care and health education information to ensure that woman are getting continuous quality care. After the delivery of a new baby, Black Infant health services include well-baby visits, immunization, and well-woman care.
• NewBorn Screening Pilot Program

This comprehensive public health screening program for newborns provides service through high quality, timely, low-cost laboratory screening, clinical follow-up, and research. The goals are to prevent or minimize the effects of disorders that can lead to death, mental retardation and life-compromising conditions in newborns, through ground-breaking research.
• California Birth Defects Monitoring Program

This public health program is devoted to finding causes of birth defects in California. They conduct research, maintain a birth defects registry, and respond to community needs.
• Comprehensive Perinatal Service Program (CPSP)

Provides prenatal care and important information about nutrition, breastfeeding, well-baby care and childbirth classes.
• It's Up to Me-To Prevent Teen Pregnancy

State campaign working to raise public awareness and generate adult and teen involvement to reduce teen pregnancy in California.
• Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

Supplemental nutrition program that provides food, nutrition counseling, and access to health care services for low-income women, infants and children.
