    The March of Dimes Central Valley Division is looking for an enthusiastic; detail oriented person to meet the administrative and volunteer coordinator responsibilities of the office. The position will assist various division personal with typing, data entry, mailing, record keeping, telephone correspondence, soliciting in-kind donations, event logistics and other responsibilities associated with volunteers, office staff, and the general public, along with a basic knowledge and a minimal of three years experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
    Technical/Functional Expectations:
    1. Prospect Identification and Sales Call Plan: Review prospect lists and constituent base in order to develop a constituent call plan and to schedule appointments with potential new volunteer leaders.

    2. Lead Referral Development Plan: Develop relationships with clients, referral partners, or centers of influence in order to obtain personal introduction to prospective clients.
    3. Sales Forecasts: Remain current on customer needs, industry trends, market activities, and competitor actions in order to create reliable sales forecasts and opportunities.


    4. Sell Products and Services: Establish contact, develop relationships, and understand problems and concerns in order to sell products and services. Listen carefully to understand the perspective of the constituent and to understand and overcome objections and barriers that might impede close of the sale.
    5. Sales Process Skills: Able to accurately sense when and how to follow up and to advance from initial call to final sale in order to suggest next steps moving customer toward a buying decision
    6. Recruit and Develop Volunteers: Identify candidates for volunteer roles for all event committees within the designated area of responsibility. Create plans to gain access to volunteer prospects and candidates. Recruit qualified candidates and articulate goals, outcomes and objectives for performance in order to enable candidates to make informed decisions regarding the volunteer role.
    7. Constituent Relationships: Make periodic visits, explore specific needs, and resolve problems in order to build and maintain constituent relationships.
    8. Execute Events: Work with volunteer committees to effectively manage the execution of all assigned fundraising events.
    9. Execute Events: Adhere to all event budgets, adjust and control expenditures, and take advantage of opportunities to increase revenues and control spending in order to contribute to the achievement of Division financial objectives.
    10. Create Visibility in the Community: Collaborate with other staff in the chapter to create awareness within the community around mission and fundraising events.
    11. Other duties as required: Performs other tasks in order to contribute to the team effort.

    Business Experience:
    1. Three years event planning, office management and general bookkeeping is required.
    2. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
    3. Must have excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs


    Educational Requirements:
    1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred.


    Must successfully complete a credit and criminal background check.
