Daniel J. Brothman, Executive Vice President & COO of Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. joins national team of business leaders to launch March for Babies 2012 fundraising campaign
Orange County, CA, February 06, 2012 More than 10 percent of babies in Orange County will be born premature this year, and local hospital leader Daniel Brothman is working with the March of Dimes to change that.
Mr. Brothman, who is Chief Executive Officer of Western Medical Center in Santa Ana and the Executive Vice President & COO of Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (owner of four Orange County hospitals - Western Medical Center Santa Ana, Western Medical Center Anaheim, Chapman Medical Center, and Coastal Communities Hospital), knows how important the March of Dimes mission is to the community. He eagerly took on the role to raise awareness and important funding to provide for babies who are born premature or with birth defects. Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. has signed on to help raise $100,000 in new revenue for the March of Dimes.
March for Babies, the largest fundraiser for the March of Dimes, helps fund lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy babies. Last year, the Orange County event raised more than $680,000 – this year, March for Babies Chair Daniel Brothman hopes to bring in even more by focusing on new revenue and helping to raise awareness throughout Orange County.
“As a business leader, this campaign gives me a unique opportunity to help the community I love,” said Mr. Brothman. “In Orange County, Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (IHHI) hospitals and March of Dimes are working to improve the health of the babies in our communities. Our communities’ fundraising effort supports lifesaving research and innovative programs to reduce the occurrence and effects of premature birth, as well as improve the health of all our babies.”
Orange County residents can sign up today and start a team with co-workers, family, or friends. Last year, more than 5,000 people attended the event, which this year will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Fashion Island. Thousands of people will gather at the starting line which is at San Nicholas Drive where it meets Newport Center Drive to march in support of stronger, healthier babies.
“We’re so excited to have Daniel Brothman and Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. on board to help us at a local level,” said Celia Wheeler, Executive Director of the Orange County Division of March of Dimes. “His passion for the cause and commitment to helping our babies will be a huge driving factor in the success of our event this year. We are grateful for the time and support Mr. Brothman has been able to lend us.”
