DENVER, Colo., July 12, 2004 -- People who want to play dirty for healthy babies have until Friday, July 23 to come clean. That’s the date registration closes for this year’s March of Dimes MUDD Volleyball Tournament. The event is open to adult coed teams of ten to 12 players. Registration fees begin at $350. MUDD Volleyball will take place on Saturday, August 7, at the Majestic Commercenter in Aurora (north of I-70 and east of Tower Road).
March of Dimes MUDD Volleyball celebrates its 21st anniversary this year. Over 4,000 players and spectators are expected. The March of Dimes anticipates raising over $100,000. Funds support the work of the organization to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. A key March of Dimes initiative is addressing prematurity, the leading cause of newborn death in Colorado and nationwide. The March of Dimes works to achieve its mission through research, community services, education and advocacy.
