| DENVER, Colo. / The March of Dimes today announced the winners of its 2007 outstanding Colorado supporter awards. Their accomplishments were celebrated at a recent event held in Denver, March of Dimes Volunteer Leadership Day.
Colorado Springs volunteers honored were: Chief Warrant Officer Charles Clark (Peterson Air Force Base) and, Alan Sirull (Antlers Hilton). They were recognized for outstanding achievement as (respectively) committee member and committee chair. Clear Channel Communications (which owns and operates four radio stations in the Springs) was also honored, for outstanding media support.
Twelve other supporters from elsewhere in Colorado were recognized too for their efforts. So were the top-ten Colorado corporate supporters of the March of Dimes walk, the organization’s largest annual fundraising event. These were (in order from number one): Farmers Insurance Group; Loaf ‘N Jug; Knowledge Learning Corporation; Kmart; Bank of the West; Citi; The Children’s Hospital; ACE Cash Express; CIGNA; and, TCF Bank.
