| DENVER, Colo. / The March of Dimes today announced the winners of its 2007 outstanding supporter awards. Their accomplishments were celebrated at a recent Denver event, March of Dimes Volunteer Leadership Day.
Grand Junction volunteers honored were: John Fox (Foxhaven Video Productions), Bret Pomrenke (Farmers Insurance Group); and, Dee Dee and Todd Simpson (Metro Brokers). They were recognized for outstanding achievement as (respectively) committee member, board member and committee chairs. Also honored as outstanding were KKCO-TV Channel 11 (media support) and Fidelity Mortgage Company (corporate support).
Nine other supporters from elsewhere in Colorado were also honored for their efforts. So too were the top-ten Colorado supporters of March of Dimes WalkAmerica, the organization’s largest annual fundraising event. These were (in order from number one): Farmers Insurance Group; Loaf ‘N Jug; Knowledge Learning Corporation; Kmart; Bank of the West; Citi; The Children’s Hospital; ACE Cash Express; CIGNA; and, TCF Bank.
