Providers selected to carry out CenteringPregnancy and Becoming a Mom/Comenzando bien will be those who can demonstrate the aptitude and competency to further the initiatives.

What are CenteringPregnancy and Becoming a Mom/Comenzando bien?

CenteringPregnancy is a group prenatal care model. It is not prenatal classes, but rather interactive group sessions that empower women to take an active role in their health and to provide support to other group members. Becoming a Mom/Comenzando bien is a prenatal education model. It offers a bilingual curriculum designed for pregnant women and women of childbearing age. Culturally sensitive, it is designed to improve the participant’s chance of having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
