Hartford Wolf Pack Raises $10,560 to Benefit March of Dimes
27-Feb-09
(Hartford, CT) – On Friday, February 27, over 100 March of Dimes volunteers and supporters gathered at the XL Center to cheer on the Hartford Wolf Pack as the team presented a check to the March of Dimes for $10,560.  The money raised to benefit the organization’s mission to give all babies a healthy start was a result of the team’s January 17th specialty jersey auction.

Hartford Wolf Pack also announced its continued support of March of Dimes March for Babies in Hartford by being named this year’s Presenting Sponsor in Hartford.

“We are honored to have this major sponsorship role in this year’s March for Babies,” said Chuck Steedman, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Northland AEG and the XL Center.  “Giving infants a better chance at a healthy start in life is a goal of huge importance in cities like Hartford, and we are very proud to be able to assist in such an important fund-raising effort as the March for Babies.”

Hartford March for Babies will take place on Sunday, April 26 at the XL Center.  March for Babies is the organization’s largest fundraiser, last year raising over $1.4 million in Connecticut.  To register, visit marchforbabies.org or marchofdimes.com/Connecticut.
