East Hartford, CT -- DSW stores nationwide have joined the fight against premature birth and store patrons in Manchester and Orange, CT can help them win by purchasing a paper sneaker for $1 through Sunday, September 12.
DSW in Manchester has set a goal to raise $3,000 during the month-long campaign and to-date has raised over $2,000 in support of March of Dimes mission of improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.
Manchester store employees also plan to show their support for babies by participating in March of Dimes Manchester WalkAmerica presented by ECHN on Sunday, October 24. The walk, which will take place rain or shine, will begin downtown at the Main Street/Forest Street Municipal Parking Lot. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk throughout historic downtown will begin at 10 a.m. The goal of the event is $30,000 and sponsorship opportunities are available.
