Fairfield County Real Estate Professionals Raise Over $525,000 for March of Dimes
06-Dec-07
Stamford, CT – Over 800 real estate professionals gathered at the Westin Stamford this morning to honor Joseph P. Beninati and James P. Cabrera of Antares Investment Partners at the 12th annual March of Dimes Fairfield County Real Estate Award breakfast.  Over $525,000 was raised in support of the March of Dimes mission to give every baby a healthy start.  It was the largest amount raised in the event’s history.

The March of Dimes Connecticut Chapter Real Estate Award breakfast honors outstanding individuals and/or companies whose commercial real estate activities have significantly enhanced the local community.  In its 12 year history, the Real Estate Awards breakfast has raised $2.5 million for the March of Dimes.

Headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, Antares is a leader in a full range of real estate assets, projects and services. The firm manages a multi-asset and multi-project real estate portfolio valued at approximately $4.5 billion and was founded by Joseph Beninati and James P. Cabrera in 1996.  In Stamford, Antares is leading a major revitalization of Stamford's South End with a waterfront land assemblage that totals over 83 acres, and which is being designed as one of the largest and most exciting mixed-use developments in the United States.

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies and in 2003 launched a campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth.
