| Middletown, CT –It was a weekend to bike for babies as motorcycle riders from across Connecticut revved their engines on Sunday, September 7 at the March of Dimes 16th annual Bikers for Babies ride. $50,000 was raised to benefit the organization, the leader in pregnancy and baby health.
Eddie Trotta, Connecticut native and well-known custom motorcycle builder and designer, along with March of Dimes Ambassadors Jon and Lori Lamson of Southington, led Bikers for Babies from Middletown to Westbrook.
Farmers Insurance, proud national sponsor of Bikers for Babies, proudly presented a $500,000 check in front of the enthusiastic crowd of over 700 bikers.
Following the 45-mile scenic ride through the Connecticut River Valley, a BBQ was hosted by the Westbrook Elks. Participants were treated to a Thunder Cycle showcase, vendor sales, live music by Shovelhead, and a live auction. Entertainment in Middletown was provided by The Kris Heaton Blues Band.
Nearly 100 bikers braved stormy weather on Saturday, September 6 at Harbor Park in Middletown for the Bikers for Babies pre-registration party and rocked to music from BUS13.
