    We Walk....

We Walk… in loving memory of our angel babies.

*We walk to carry on their name and their little stories, and in memory of all the babies born too soon.

    Edward Rudell Miller, Jr

    Due: February 16, 2007

    Born Sleeping: January 12, 2007

    Kennedy Marie Sites

    Due: November 12, 2010

    Born Sleeping: September 10, 2010

We Walk… for each other and other families affected by the loss of a baby.

*We have been friends for over 10 years. Little did we know when we were 13, without cares in the world that just a few short years later such tragedies in our lives would bring us closer than ever. There really is no support like the support you receive from another bereaved mother. March for Babies is a great way to meet other mothers and families who have experienced loss and to come together and be each other’s support.

We Walk… for March of Dimes.

*We walk to show our support for all that March of Dimes does. We hope that the money we raise in walking makes a huge difference on their research projects and the missions they set out to accomplish. The research March of Dimes does on a daily basis is very near and dear to our hearts, especially the research they conduct on stillborn babies. We walk for them and to help raise awareness of their cause. We walk with hopes that with the March of Dimes, we can help prevent another mother from burying their baby due to premature birth, serious birth defects or stillbirth. If just one child’s life can be saved through our walking and raising money for March of Dimes, every second will be worth it.

    We Walk…for the FUTURE.

*We walk so that mothers (including ourselves) are able to carry healthy babies full term. July 21, 2011- Kelly carried her perfect, beautiful daughter, Alivia Brooklyn Byard, full term. Alivia was born without any complications and is as healthy as can be. She was welcomed just a week before her due date.  In May, Allison hopes to welcome her son, Jaxon Kalon Sites, after carrying him full term. The future is a scary place, but with the March of Dimes, it has been made a little brighter for us.

Together we can all make a difference. Awareness just needs to be raised. And we will continue to do that through March for Babies. We tell our story to everyone in hopes of helping.  We are always willing to talk and brag about our babies... both those with us and those in heaven.

    With Love,

    Kelly Sweetman and Allison Sites
