One of the 10 largest-volume supermarket chains in the United States with locations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee, Publix customers and associates raised $1.8 million dollars in Florida alone to help give all babies a healthy start and educating moms-to-be about the importance of taking the B vitamin folic acid.

The company’s 1,000 stores and some 142,000 employees sold cutouts at the checkout and customers write their own name or the name of a baby for an in-store display.  Publix associates coupled with family and friends joined the Publix Team and supported local March for Babies campaigns by providing food, volunteers, and individual fund raising efforts.
