March of Dimes Florida Chapter is seeking nominations for the 5th Annual Lawton Chiles Public Affairs Award.  The purpose of the award is to give state recognition to an individual in Florida for his or her work in public affairs on behalf of the health of mothers, infants, and children.  The award will be presented at the March of Dimes Prematurity Summit in Tallahassee in September 2005. 

The March of Dimes is requesting nominations from organizations who are involved with maternal and child health issues.  Nominated individuals can be from a variety of professional areas such as journalism, law, healthcare, health policy, social services, and the like.
