March of Dimes Florida Chapter Volunteers Rally at the Volunteer Leadership Conference in Washington DC
Hundreds of March of Dimes volunteer leaders and staff from across the nation recently gathered at the annual Volunteer Leadership Conference in Washington DC to plan for the future for the March of Dimes while celebrating the past year’s success.

While at the conference, they marched on Capitol Hill with Anna Eleanor Roosevelt, granddaughter of our founder and President of the United States Franklin Delano Roosevelt.  Ms. Roosevelt led the way and spoke to legislatures about the importance of children’s health, insurance, and to bring awareness of the alarming increase in premature birth. (Photo above: Florida volunteers on Capitol Hill)

Additionally, several Florida Chapter volunteers and corporations where honored at the conference including Frederick V. Miller, MD, MHA, MBA as Volunteer of the Year for the Florida Chapter Award and Publix Super Markets as the #4 WalkAmerica Team.
