Publix Customers and Associates Support March of Dimes - Register campaign runs April 5-26 and supports stronger, healthier babies

Publix Super Markets, Inc. is working alongside the March of Dimes for stronger, healthier babies, and the grocery giant will ask its customers to join them in their quest during their annual fundraising campaign from April 5-26.
The register campaign coincides with March for Babies, the March of Dimes signature event, which occurs on April 26 in most areas. Associates will sell the cutouts at the checkout and ask customers to sign their name or the name of a baby they love creating an impressive in-store display.
“Our customers and associates have trusted us to support organizations and programs that make a difference in the communities in which we live and work,” said Maria Brous, Publix director of media and community relations. “We are passionate about the health and wellness of our customers and supporting healthier moms and babies is an extension of who we are. We are proud of our partnership with March of Dimes and thankful for the research and advocacy they are able to provide our communities and beyond.”
Publix is the #2 March for Babies Team in the country. As one of the 10 largest-volume supermarket chains in the United States with over 166,500 employees in 1,077 locations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina, Publix customers and associates raised an incredible $5 million in 2013 and $50,000,000 since 1995 to help give all babies a healthy start and educate moms-to-be about the importance of taking the B vitamin folic acid.
