TITLE: Program Services Internship
REPORTS TO: Kandi Spencer
LOCATION: Georgia Chapter - Atlanta Office
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
Provide professional and administrative support for the Georgia Chapter March of Dimes Program Department. This department is responsible for planning and implementing mission-related efforts focusing on maternal and child health issues throughout the state of Georgia
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include participating in community events, responding to public inquiries for health education materials, working with the Georgia Division offices, assisting with coordination of community programs, such as, Georgia Children’s Health Alliance, Tobacco Technical Assistance Consortium; assisting with Public Affairs activities; assisting with the Chapter Grant process; assisting with implementing the Prematurity Campaign; and assisting in the implementation of the Chapter Program Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Candidates interested in a summer, summer/fall semester or a fall/spring semester internship may apply. Prefer graduate student in public health field. Bachelor's Degree in health education, community health, social work, or other related field considered. Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong computer skills with MS Office (including Outlook, Publisher, and Access) required.
