MOTORCYCLES TAKE OVER THE ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY AS BIKERS RAISE $100,000 FOR GEORGIA’S BABIES!
ATLANTA, GA – Thanks to one thousand bikers, and their friends and families, more babies in Georgia will get a healthy start, as the 17th annual Bikers for Babies met its goal to raise $100,000 for the March of Dimes.
Among those participating was up and coming country music star Adam Hood. Who took the stage at 3 p.m. and rocked the riders out to the track for their turn on the Speedway. Bikers for Babies Director Patrick Jansen says, “It’s truly a sight and sound to be heard. Over 2,000 motorcycles cranking their engines up at the same time, what a great moment.” Bikers for Babies Chair Freddie Arnold says that this rally is different because all of the funds raised stay in Georgia and help our babies, it’s truly a cause you can get behind.”
One hundred percent of rider donations will benefit the March of Dimes Prematurity campaign in Georgia. Since the March of Dimes Bikers for Babies Weekend’s inception 17 years ago, the event has raised more than $5 million for Georgia’s babies, helping to fund the Angel Flight II ambulance which transports premature babies to area hospitals. The Angel Flight II is an ambulance that is specially made to fit premature babies that are too small for regular sized ambulance equipment. Angel Flight II has smaller cuffs, beds and equipment fitted for tiny babies.
