Community Programs

March of Dimes Wants to Expand Group Model of Prenatal Care
March of Dimes wants to expand the group model of prenatal care (CenteringPregnancy®) through new funding opportunities. CenteringPregnancy®, a model of prenatal care, combines the components of prenatal care in a group setting.





Supporting Families in the NICU
Designed to support families with a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and promote family-centered care within the hospital, the NICU Family Support and NICU Bedside Reading Program are part of the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign. 





Chapter Community Grants Program
The Georgia Chapter awards grants in communities across the state that will address unmet maternal and child health needs.





Professional Education

Healthy Babies Healthy Business
Healthy Babies Healthy Business is a cost-saving, multi-dimensional workplace education program from the March of Dimes. The goal of Healthy Babies Healthy Business is to help companies improve employee health and improve the health of their bottom lines.





Augusta Partnership for Children, Inc.
received a $10,000 grant through the March of Dimes National Office to implement an Interconception Project. Through its Healthy Start Initiative, APC will provide case management and health education to women and families with a history of preterm birth.



Stork's Nest
Stork’s Nest is a cooperative project of the March of Dimes and the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. that provides prenatal education and incentives for low-income pregnant women.



Project Alpha
This collaborative project of the March of Dimes and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. provides young males with education, motivation and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.



Comenzando Bien
Comenzando bien is the March of Dimes prenatal education program for Hispanic women. It was developed in partnership with the National Alliance for Hispanic Health and is culturally and linguistically appropriate for Hispanic women.




Pregnancy Workshop
The Pregnancy Workshop is a step-by-step prenatal curriculum that informs women how to care for themselves and their babies during pregnancy.  For more information, contact Elise Linden Antrobus at 404-350-9800 ext 217.
