Healthy Babies Healthy Business is a cost-saving, worksite wellness program from the March of Dimes. The goal of Healthy Babies Healthy Business is to help companies improve employee health and improve the health of their bottom lines. Eleven percent of newborns covered by employer health programs are born prematurely. Data from research conducted by Thomson Medstat for the March of Dimes shows that the average cost paid by employers for a full-term, healthy baby is $2,830 compared with $41,610 for a baby born prematurely.
Healthy Babies Healthy Business is a multi-dimensional workplace education program that offers six resources to help companies improve employee health and the health of the company’s bottom line.
