TITLE: Program Services Intern
REPORTS TO: Gwen Houldsworth, Associate Director of Program Services
LOCATION: Georgia Chapter Office - Atlanta
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
Provide professional and administrative support for the Georgia Chapter March of Dimes Program Department. This department is responsible for planning and implementing mission-related efforts focusing on maternal and child health issues throughout the state of Georgia.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include participating in community events, responding to public inquiries for health education materials, working with the Georgia Division offices, assisting with coordination of community programs, such as, Stork’s Nest and Project Alpha, assisting with Public Affairs activities, assisting with the Chapter Grant process, assisting with implementing the Prematurity Campaign, and assisting in the implementation of the Chapter Program Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Prefer graduate student in public health field. Bachelor's Degree in health education, community health, social work, or other related field considered. Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong computer skills with MS Office (including Outlook, Publisher, and Access).
