Since its beginning, the March of Dimes has depended on devoted people like you to carry out its mission of saving babies. Volunteers are the driving force behind the foundation. Our babies need you. Your time and talents can make a world of difference..
Communications
Volunteer leaders needed to help with marketing communications planning, web strategies, graphic design and layout (using InDesign and other Adobe programs), media outreach including partnership development, press release writing and story pitching. With all events, volunteers with expertise in photography and audiovisual services are always needed. Variety of short and long-term positions available to assist with projects to build awareness of the March of Dimes mission and materials to support fundraising events. Some on-site meetings may be required, but work may be completed outside of the March of Dimes office. Please reply by email to Leigh Tenewitz or call 404-350-9800.
Program Services
Seeking professionals to serve on our Program Services Committee. Individuals with maternal child health, public health, rural health, social work, and/or grant writing experience needed to assist with advancing March of Dimes mission in Georgia. Activities include grant reviews, outreach and awareness activities, healthcare education effort and more. If interested, contact Sheila Ryan at 404-350-9800.
March for Babies
Volunteers are needed in communities across the state to sell sponsorship opportunities, recruit volunteers and new teams, and to plan and implement kick off, rally and walk day activities. Volunteers are also needed for day-of set-up and breakdown, greeting walkers and sponsors and staffing family/mission tents. If interested, contact Lisha Works or call 404-350-9800.
Special Event Volunteers
There are many opportunities available for involvement with the March of Dimes other fundraising events like Signature Chefs Auctions, Dining Out and Evening of Excellence Gala. Join one of the planning committees or help the day of the event. Please contact Ashley Krieg for more information
