Welcome to the Genetics & Your Practice ("G&YP") web site.
The site is designed for professionals working in the primary care setting and has custom modules for preconception/prenatal; infants/children; and adolescents/adults. In order to help the User ("you") obtain maximum benefit from the web site, it is necessary for March of Dimes ("us") to obtain personally identifying information. Our web server recognizes consumer e-mail addresses and domain names for the purpose of analyzing web site access and improving the content of the site. Such information is collected and analyzed in the aggregate for internal use and will not be submitted to third parties without your permission. If you register and request continuing education credits, your personally identifying information will be collected, used and protected according to the following privacy policy:

G&YP Registration Page
When you register, you will be asked whether you would like to hear from March of Dimes regarding issues relevant to G&YP and for news alerts, progress reports and promotions to benefit the March of Dimes. You may opt out of these communications at any time. Unless you are applying for continuing professional education credit, your personally identifiable information will not be forwarded to any third parties without your permission.

Swedish Medical Center
The March of Dimes Foundation has granted Swedish Medical Center permission to use the educational modules owned by the March of Dimes Foundation and accessible on the G&YP Web site for the purpose of assessing the curriculum materials and for providing continuing educational credits to health professionals.

Continuing Professional Education
By providing your personal information for continuing education credit, you are granting us permission to forward it to the provider, Swedish Medical Center and any other accrediting organizations that require it. Your personal information will be used to generate your certificate of completion and for aggregate reporting. Information forwarded to the professional education provider or other accrediting authority will be subject to their individual privacy policies.

Site Evaluations
If you opt-in to evaluate the G&YP site we will be collecting your information in the aggregate and the pre- and post-test will be evaluated by general information only, not by personal identifiers. You will not be contacted by us unless you “opt-in” to the follow-up evaluation. Results from the evaluations may be published in peer review journals.

Your may review and correct your personal information in the "My Account" section of G&YP Online.

Tracking
We use your account information to track your personal preferences and progress on the G&YP web site. Information from the web site will be stored on our servers and will enable the site to be personalized to your specifications. In addition, we will track and record your progress through the site in order to help you remember which parts of the site you have visited and to record your attempts at the various tests throughout the site. We also use the tracking system to measure how effective the content is by recording your responses to questions and interactions throughout the site.

Security
Personal information collected on the G&YP web site is secured by current, reasonable industry standards. Your user name and password are encrypted. We use secure socket layer technology for online donations and your account information is encrypted when submitted for processing and verification. If a credit card donation is made to March of Dimes, we process account information and collect funds for one-time use only.
