2004 MARCH OF DIMES 34TH ANNUAL WALKAMERICA
“The Walk that Saves Babies!”


WHAT: March of Dimes 34th Annual WalkAmerica is the biggest and most successful fund-raising event for the March of Dimes, whose mission is to prevent birth defects and infant mortality.  In Hawaii alone, the 2003 WalkAmerica raised more than $380,000, thanks to the efforts of over 3,500 walkers statewide. This year the goal is to raise $400,000 with 4,000 walkers.


WHEN: Saturday, April 17
 7  – 10:30 a.m.
  

WHERE: Kapiolani Park Bandstand
 

VISUALS: 
# Mothers and fathers pushing strollers with their babies and children in tow.
# Teams of people from nonprofits and businesses walking together in a wonderful cause.
# Lt. Governor, Honorary Chair, will welcome and thank walkers during the opening ceremony.
# Entertainment from 8:30 to 10 a.m. provided by Lost in Paradize, Night Life & Coconut Joe.
