| The March of Dimes Hawaii chapter is pleased to announce its 2009 Community Grant Recipients:
Family Support Services of West Hawaii - Prenatal Yoga and Healthy Pregnancy Project Prenatal yoga classes will be offered to clients of the Malama Prenatal Program in East and South Hawaii. The yoga classes will include pregnancy education, nutrition and making choices for a health pregnancy.
Kalihi Palama Health Center - CenteringPregnancy® Project Using a national model, this project provides innovative group prenatal visits for high-risk pregnant women in an urban immigrant community to improve the health of mothers and babies.
Molokai General Hospital – Makana Makamae Program This program uses incentives to improve pregnancy outcomes and reinforce positive health maintenance during and after pregnancy for high-risk, predominately Native Hawaiian and Filipina women on Molokai.
The Path Clinic – Healthy Rewards A program to provide motivational incentives to pregnant women struggling with substance use to decrease the use of substance and improve birth outcomes.
