| Women are the caretakers of their families and this is especially true of Latinas. Taking time for “herself” is a rare and precious opportunity. In that spirit, “Celebrando La Mujer Latina…Un Día Para Ti” was created in celebration of Latinas.
This wonderful, annual event provides a unique opportunity for Chicagoland's Spanish-speaking women to participate in lectures and discussions presented by outstanding community health care providers entirely in Spanish. Important issues relevant to our community that will be presented include family planning and domestic violence. In addition to the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to indulge in mini makeovers provided by cosmetologists, manicurists and massage therapists. This event is held every November.
