| Chicago – Ann Laube, 48, has joined the Illinois Chapter of the March of Dimes in the position of Associate State Director. Ann believes that "it's a great opportunity for personal growth". In her new position, Ann will work with five downstate divisions in fund-raising and board development. She is also responsible for implementing annual and major gift programs for the Illinois chapters.
Prior to joining March of Dimes, Ann was President of The Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce; a business association for five communities. She held that position for 3 years. Ann was also a member of the Kane County Economic Development Advisory Board and Chairman of the Elgin Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. She was also very active in the Rotary Club of West Dundee; chairing the club scholarship committee and served on the Rotary Home District Vocational Scholarship Committee.
Ann is a single mom with two daughters in their early twenties. She will commute from West Dundee, where she currently lives.
The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies and in 2003 launched a $75 million campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth. |
