Help Us Fight Premature Birth!

The March of Dimes invites you to take action and help us raise awareness of the common, costly and serious problem of premature birth. You can help by educating others, raising funds and showing support for families of premature infants. Here are some ideas for how you can help…
- Learn more about premature birth and share information with your friends and family. Encourage women you know who are pregnant to talk to their doctor about the signs of premature labor.
- Wear pink and blue ribbons and wrist bands to raise awareness. Click here to order a supply – proceeds benefit the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign.
- Connect with families of premature infants and offer your support through our Share website.
- Make a donation and help us fund lifesaving research and family support programs for parents with an infant in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper highlighting the problem of prematurity and encouraging support for the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign. A sample letter is included in the toolkit below.
- Attend a March of Dimes fundraiser – find out about local events in your area.
- Host an information table at your church, community center or workplace. Order health education materials by calling the March of Dimes at (312) 596-4715.
