| Chicago – Nearly 500 guests and 22 of the western suburbs premier restaurants came together for the March of Dimes 10th Annual Suburban Signature Chefs Auction at the Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook on October 6, 2005.
Guests sampled the chefs’ signature dishes prepared especially for the evening, bid on unique silent auction items and participated in a live auction. These activities raised over $115,000 to support the March of Dimes mission to prevent premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
Ray Kinney, co-owner of Minute Man Press and Maclyn Group in Naperville, and Brad McGuire, owner of Jackson Moving & Storage in Naperville, were the event hosts. The Mayor of Bolingbrook, Rodger Claar, and his wife Patricia also came to participate in this special night.
The highest bid auction items of the evening were a new grill, with Zaidi Syed of Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Naperville and Brad McGuire coming to the winner’s home to prepare steak and lobster for eight ($2,700), a New England getaway package with round trip airfare for two ($2,200), and a San Juan, Puerto Rico vacation package with airline tickets and a stay at the Caribe Hilton Hotel ($2,000).
A special thank you to Event Sponsors Avent America and Central DuPage Hospital, and to Gold Sponsor Citizens Financial Services for helping to make the night a success.
