Chicago—A variety of gourmet Chicago area chefs and restaurants will join the March of Dimes on August 24th to serve samples of their unique cuisine. The event will be held at the Kaleidoscope located at 800 W. Superior from 5:30p.m. to 9:00p.m.  Daisy Martinez, cooking star from the highly rated PBS television program “Daisy Cooks!” will be at the event. Attendees can purchase Daisy’s popular cookbook, “Daisy Cooks! Latin Flavors That Will Rock Your World”  which will be personally signed by Daisy.

  Proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes, a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies and in 2003 launched a campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth.
