Becoming a Mom/Comenzando Bien Evaluator Request for Proposal (RFP)
As part of our Chapter Directed Mission Investment Plan (2013-2015), the Illinois Chapter is making a three-year commitment to invest community grant funds to implement the March of Dimes prenatal education curriculum Becoming a Mom/Comenzando Bien in fourteen community-based sites across Illinois. Each site will be funded for two years.
The goals of this curriculum are 1) to teach women about having a healthy pregnancy, 2) to create a supportive environment that promotes healthy behaviors, and 3) to help participants to overcome barriers to care and become assertive and informed consumers of prenatal care services. To learn more about Becoming a Mom/Comenzando Bien, visit: http://www.marchofdimes.com/pdf/california/CA_CBTraining_BAMCBIntro.pdf.
We are seeking a program evaluator to work with Chapter staff to evaluate and analyze the impact of the March of Dimes’ investment in Becoming a Mom/Comenzando Bien including participants’ change in knowledge and birth outcomes. Evaluators will be responsible for working directly with sites to collect and analyze participant pre- and post- curriculum surveys and birth outcomes data. Evaluators must submit a mid-year and annual report to the March of Dimes for every year they are funded.
Proposals should be no longer that two pages and include a three year timeline, with a breakdown of costs and deliverables for each year. Please send proposals to Madiha Qureshi, Interim Director of Program Services, at MQureshi@marchofdimes.com. Proposals should be submitted no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2013.
