| What is the Prematurity Fund?
The Prematurity Fund is a fund set up to support the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign. Prematurity Fund donations are annual contributions given to support the March of Dimes five-year campaign to reduce the incidence of premature birth that was launched in 2003. Donors to the Prematurity Fund are an elite group of foundations, corporations and individuals who make a significant contribution to the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign of $10,000 or more. The fund supports the fight against prematurity during the five years of the current campaign.
How to give to the Prematurity Fund
Prematurity Fund donations can be one-time gifts or annual pledges that add up to at least $10,000 over the course of the prematurity campaign. Many individual donors pledge to give $2,000 each year for the five years of the campaign. While foundations and corporations have elected to give $10,000 each year.
Where does the Money Go?
The Prematurity Fund is used to support the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign by:
- Funding Indiana Chapter community services targeting premature birth.
- Providing grant funds to local programs that help reduce the incidence of prematurity.
- Supporting local education programs for health professionals.
- Funding public health education programs.
